Harley radio?

Dad is shopping for a radio for his E-glide. Cant see 800+for a basic am fm cd unit just cuz it says HD. The radios are made in japan and apear to be a JVC connector. Anyone know what will plug into the factory wiring harness? Making the hand switch controls is primary objective.

Thats the problem, the hand switch controls are the issue otherwise any radio will work.

And yes I spent the boatload for the HD one myself because of those hand controls.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Don't know if this helps but, There was someone sellling e-glide radio encloseures on ebay with the clear cover and all if you are willing to do without the hand controls...
they were like 40 bucks or something and you put in your own radio..

Somebody makes an adapter to make the factory steering wheel controls in cars work with any aftermarket radio that has a remote control. I can't imagine why it wouldn't work in this situation. It's kinda hokey since you have to mount the little infared eye somewhere pointing at the radio but it's probably better than spending $800. Any car stereo shop should know about it.
