Please help me find some options...

OK, so I picked up a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50 Black about 3 weeks ago and ordered some pipes for it when I bought it. They were backordered and so I waited until today when they came into the shop. Took my bike in to have them installed (mistake, they are like cake to install) and they realized that the pipes were not for my model, but for the older version of my engine. DOES ANYONE have any ideas where I can get some aftermarket stuff for my M50? Cobra stated that they weren't going to make anything for my bike until AFTER this season?!?!?! WTF? I've got the $$$ for the pipes and install tied up in the cost of my bike (financing). What are my options? Please Help!!!!!

I suggest checking a bike specific forum. I checked the Suzuki accessories and they don't list any pipes for that bike. Also look at the other popular exhaust companies like Vance and Hines. If it's a different motor than what was in there before you might be screwed; aftermarket companies go for the most popular bikes first and that might not be as popular as the bigger bikes.

Yeah, shortly after I posted I checked Vance and Hines's website/catalog... I think I might be screwed... but I did find a place that might MAKE some pipes for my bike, and since I've already given the dealership $$$ for them, I'm thinking they should find a place that will do similar work for a comparable price. Little odd asking OCC to make pipes for my 800cc Suzuki Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Check with Samson.

Yes, unfortuantely I want to be "that guy" with the obnoxiously loud bike. However, I also would like to keep one stock set of pipes in 100% condition in case the next owner doens't have the same idea. My search continues...

Samson has a metric division called Shogun. If you haven't checked with them yet, they may have what you want.

V&H doesn't have anything at all for your bike - don't bother checking there.
luckily, my 99 road star didn't have that same problem - but you are buying new, you don't have my problem - addiction to things older.

same problem with Hard Krome.

Done, still no luck on the pipes. Talked to the guy who used to own/run Chopper Shop in DG (now at Windwalkers) about getting custom pipes made... WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much for what I'm looking to do. Guy said it'd be AT LEAST 1G and that's not including the chroming or anything like that. I'd rather have them powdercoated black though Anyone know of any good fabrication shops around here??

I would say your best bet would be to wait for a company to make them for your bike. It may take a lil while since its a new model is all. I'm not a cruiser guy, but the Hard Krome pipes are pretty nice and give lower displacement cruisers a nice sound. If it were me, I'd give them a call and see when they might have a system for your bike
