harley electrical question

well, I'm trying to help out a friend and I don't know to much about my honda much less his harley. So I figure you guys might know.

He has a 2003/04 HD midnight edition? and he mistakenly hooked up his battery wrong. It was dark out and he was anxious to get his bike running this year and misplaced the wires. He says he gets dash lights and headlights on, but it won't start. I haven't looked at it yet, just looking for alittle help with what to look for?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

He might of popped a fuse or two by not hooking it up right.
Its a pretty vague piece of info to go on...
I just got through my first electrical gremlin on my Harley.

Anyway Id start by lookin at the fuses, if all is well see if it will start with a jump from your car, or a boost on a charger.

This is gonna hurt!

yeah, sorry for being so vague. I'll try to get a hold of him tomorrow. He was just relaying some info to me over the phone and I didn't get a chance to ask any questions.

I'm confident on my automotive skills, just hadn't worked on a bike much. I'll try the usual: check the fuses and see if it has spark/ and posible jump start it.

thanks!
