I just cant see how that would work, If you hit something the bike is rapidly decellerating, while you are still moving at speed, airbag now deploys and combined with your forward and up motion will catapult you over the vehicle, is this thier intention? or when you hit the bag will you be knocked backwards off the bike

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

well, i'm gonna assume they put more scientific reasoning for it than any of our speculation. I mean for one, u gonna fly over bars anyways, if it can soften the blow in the least, it's better than nothing.

listen if you add two wheels to a goldwing, you have an accord. What else do you want on that damn bike?

actually now that ive seen those pics, i do believe it will cushion the blow. when sitting on the goldwing its more of a sit down rather then leaned over.

so without going into great detail the differance we are all use to feelings on a sportbike. the seating spot, the distance, the way a front end crash it would save some life or flesh no doubt.

lowside, highside all that shit wouldnt play a roll in the bag anyway or helping the rider. i think they are on to something.

also too dont be hating the wing, 1/2 of you guys and gals know my shit is pimping.

ive seen footage years ago about the development and it looks really good. A guy was crashing into the side of the car and the airbag slowed his body.

I would be concerned about the airbags being stolen.

Is that rider giving the bike a reach around?

Edit: judging by the shoes, I'd say yes.

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

Perfect....the most likely of bike canidates that really doesn't need it, the Wing. How many reports have you heard about Goldwing riders flying over the bars in a crash, much less even getting INTO an accident?

I don't see where this is needed, ever, on that bike. Now, if Honda could come up with a way of getting all the morons OFF the sporty bikes they sell (and that of other manufacturers), THAT would be something used to save lives..........
