Not all paint sets are 9g's as it depends on the job and for what bike. If you look some of them are very time consuming and they are all kickass.

Hell some 1 color paint jobs from reg shops charge $1000 ON UP.

Gotta give the guy props who can paint like that.

Nice stuff Tony. I would personally dare to be different, too many skulls, flames and American flags on Harleys, I would want something totally different, what? I don't have a freaking clue

A guy stopped by the shop with a restored car. On the running boards he had an american flag ghost-flamed. After he left a bunch of us were talking and half the group never noticed it was there.

It was very transparent, similar to what you posted Tony. Something to think about, especially for the Harleys.

Just got my quote back

Quote:
Hello Tony,
All parts will be prepped, then we will apply a couple coats of black sealer. Then we apply a few coats PPG black basecoat.

Then we will airbrush a set of flames on using an alum/white pearl mix I make up. These will be airbrushed on so they have a nice ghost effect to them.

We can make these a little more subtle than normal like on job 598.
Then we will apply urethane clear.
All parts will be wetsanded and buffed so you cannot feel any flame edge on the paint. The surface will be nice and 'flat' with no orange peel.

If you opt for our ' Double Dose ', we will resand the paint job 'flat'. Then we will spray some more coats of clear.
You can read more on this option here http://www.customflamepainting.com/double_dose.html
Please note, the price quoted below does *not* include the Double Dose.

Total cost for the above paint job will run....$2300
(tank, fairing, bags, lids, and tank). I also included the side covers
Cost also includes all paint and materials
Add $160 if you would like the painted ghost bar and shield on each side of the tank.

Cost does not include doing the bodywork to the rear fender.
You will need to supply the LED's. Approx cost to do this is $400 (includes frenching in the license plate)

That actually not too bad, Its a hair out of my price range but for that kinda job that is pretty reasonable for a bagger. sometimes I wish I had bought a duece it would be soooo much cheaper with just 3 tins to paint
