Well I am HOOKED!

So my buddy Max ( SHREDDER) tells me last week that if I do him a favor and pick up his bike at the dealership I can ride it until he got back from vacation. I find this funny cause he's the one actually doin me the favor! So I got to put on about 150 miles on an '06 Boulavard M109R. HOLY CRAP!!!!! Awesome fricken bike, I mean this thing has got tork up the ass, a big ol 240 rear tire, and a comfortable riding postion. The only two things I would change on it would be the exhaust, which for stock are pretty impressive, but I want louder, and the headlight, which oddly enough started to sort a grow on me. All I need now is to put some miles on a VTX 1800C or F and see which one I like better. I compared it to the VTX 1800 at the dealership and they need to start putting a fatter rear on it, then there'd be no Compatition on which one I'd buy.

But Like I started out I'm hooked on cruisers, it was like that one thing thats been missing all my life. I can't wait till after the wedding next year so I can buy mine!!!!

good move man. In theory you only buy one engagement ring, but you'll be buying bikes the rest of your life. Good choice!

Now Now, I sold my zx-11 so we coudl afford our first apartment back in the day. As soon as we got into a house, My wife went out and aranged for a loan and told me to go pick out my busa. and we all know I've bought a few toys since then Sometimes you gotta sacrifice to start out, but if she's a good woman she will make up for it.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

hey, how tall are you? I sat on 109R and being 5'9" - I was touching the exhaust with my leg when planting my feet on a ground. No matter how I tried - the bike was too wide at the bottom with its 2-1-2 exhaust. Is this thing hot? I was told it has tripple heat-shield there, but still wondering.

Cruisers are a blast, especially cruisers with power. its a different style of riding, with its own pro's and cons.

I'm 6 foot My leg rested on the pipe at every stop sign and light and in traffic and it never got hot not even a little.

And Tony, your right she is a good one. She's the one that got pissed when I sold the F4i for the ring. She's all about me gettin another bike. I'd get another one right now but all my money is being dumped into the wedding.

definately!!! the only thing i did not like about the M109R is the strange looking rear brake pedal...it's the only unbalanced feature on the bike...the shifter lever is a nicely finished, cast aluminum piece, with a rubber pad at the end of it...the rear brake lever is a crudely cut piece of steel flat stock, with a knurled piece of steel round stock welded to it...ugly, if you ask me...but the rest of the bike is really cool looking, and it is very light feeling to lift from the side-stand...i give it a anyway, even if it's got an odd looking brake pedal...
