Confederate Motorcycles.

So my boss got himself into a interesting situation. We do custom t-shirts and st these guys contacted him about a large order they wanted to place. He started talking and basically got them to offer the above bike, Hellcat F131. They claim the bike MSRP is $67k. They made about 340 and all are gone. My boss does not even ride but for some reason wants this. His only concern is what he can get for it once he gets tired of looking at it I guess. How would you go about selling something like this and what do you think you can actually get for it? The shirts are worth about $65k and he knows this is something he's going to loose money on the question is how much.

They do look cool though, I'd be willing to bet that he could get pretty close to the $60k mark on CycleTrader.com if he waited long enough. They are rare bikes and there are a lot of stupid rich people out there.

EDIT: Fuck that, they're going for under $20k... he's gonna regret picking that bike up unless he rides it until he destroys it (assuming it lasts 1.5 million miles with no maintainance).

Resale sucks on those bikes. He will lose his a$$!

I don't know but if he got it, I would get to ride it. So for me it's a win.

Very true, but that's still quite a hit, losing 75% of it's value in 6 years. My 1989 FJ1200 had an MSRP of $6500 and I sold it in 2006 for $2400, that's 75% in 17 years.

Now if they offered this for the T-Shirts, I'd say jump all over it:
