All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never under estimate your opponent (mentality). Expect the unexpected (could work out in your favor). Two, take it outside(or to a table). Never start anything inside the Bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.

Head out to Galena, IL and back. I'm sure you could find a route that all two lane blocktop there and back.

Route 20 west straight to Galena. Look for Stage Coach trail while your out there. Its the first leg of the Flat 4 Tour.

Take Rt 71 down through Starved Rock and over to Rt 26. Go south on Rt 26 along Illinois River down to Peoria. This is 2-3 hrs 1 way depending upon if you are in a hurry.

or for a longer ride take Rt 64 out to Savanna, IL. then take Rt 84 south along Mississippi River. This is 3.5+ hrs 1 way depending upon if you are in a hurry.

Yeah I'm with ocean, lunch in Peoria. There are a couple restaurants right on the river. Follow a river there and back, Rt 6 is also fun.

The link may not work but its a road I discovered accidentally a few weeks ago. Mapquest from Stockton, IL to Savanna, IL. I had idea scenery like this existed in IL it was gorgeous with the white snow, bluffs, etc

Harley dude: I ride every day!
Bar patron: Did you just get your bike?
Harley dude: No I've had it a couple years, why?
Bar patron: I was checking it out and it only had a few hundred miles on it.
Harley Dude: Well yeah, I only live a few blocks from here.

Take whatever will get you to Route 20, then hit 2 south, along the Rock River to 64. Take 64 (yes, that's North Ave) all the way to the Mississippi River (town called Savannah). Go to Poopy's for lunch. Cross the river and check out the island community of Sabulah.

Keep going west on 64 another hour and you'll be in Anamosa, home of J&P Cycles. They have a cool museum.

I'm about 15 miles from there and will probably be sportin' the BF on the back of the 'bagger.
