cell phones

I'm probably going to get smacked upside the head for a stupid question but..........does anyone make a cell phone charger for the bike? Or do I have to chop up a charger for the car and connect it directly to the battery? Just looking for something if I go on a long ride and don't have time to charge it. Firgured I could tuck it under the passenger seat and make a nice holder for it.

I don't think so, but I wouldn't doubt it if someone thought of something.

Whenever I do something like this I always just carry an extra battery

I get them on eBay. They aren't too expensive.

I would wire up something like this and then get a car charger for your phone.
Most cell phone car chargers have a fuse and if you hack off the plug you eliminate that fuse and could potentially damage your bike and cell phone. Wire this up, it has a fuse also, and you can also use it for other accessories like a radar detector or anything else that would plug up to a cigarette lighter outlet. I'm sure it would fit under your seat to keep it out of sight.

When I was at the Las Vegas Charlie's open house a few weekends ago I saw a cell phone charger that was made for a bike... I don't know the brand or anything, but maybe check them out and see if they have it in stock or have the info on it...

Buy a 'bagger... plug your car charger into the cigarette lighter.
