What a stroke!

The dude is not in reality!

http://campaign2012.washingtonexamin...nson-me/253001

President Obama suggested, during his recent CBS interview, that his domestic and foreign policy achievements over his first term surpass any other United States president, "with the possible exceptions" of Presidents Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Lyndon Johnson.

"I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president -- with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln," Obama told Steve Kroft, "just in terms of what we've gotten done in modern history."

Obama's choice of presidents to number ahead of himself is consistent with his portrayal of his own agenda as an extension of the civil rights movement. In keeping with that, he praises Lincoln (who emancipated the slaves), and then the two creators of the entitlement state: FDR (Social Security) and Lyndon Johnson (Medicare, Medicaid).

The president said that he has "got five more years of stuff to do."

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Technically, no.
Quote:
What actually opened the Wall was — surprisingly — a mistake. An East German bureaucrat misspoke at a press conference on November 9, 1989, and triggered a flood of people at one of the East Berlin crossing points. The border guards had no instructions and were forced to let the crowds through — catching the world's leaders by surprise.
I can't recall his name, but I did read about it in the Chicago Tribune. He mistakenly announced that the checkpoints were open.

Ok, I found it:

Quote:
Gunter Schabowski, the chief of propaganda and member of the Politburo of the SED, the East German ruling communist party, said in a press conference: “Today we reached a decision to issue an ordinance that allows every citizen of the GDR to leave the country through any border crossing.” After a moment, he added that the ordinance is effective “immediately.”

If Schabowski misspoke, it was the most important and most beautiful slip of the tongue in the history of Germany. Right after the announcement, Berliners armed with mallets and chisels set about to dismantle the Wall. What was unimaginable became real. The German circle was squared.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

MSNBC has apologized to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign for airing a segment that connected Romney's use of the expression "Keep America American" to the Klu Klux Klan.

"During the 11AM hour on MSNBC, we reported on a blog item that compared a phrase used by the Romney campaign to one used by the KKK in the 1920s," Chris Matthews said on Wednesday. "It was irresponsible and incendiary of us to do this and showed an appalling lack of judgment. We apologize, we really do, to the Romney campaign."

After watching that movie, aside from the obvious comedy, it is scary how close to home that movie hits with how I feel about the future of this country. All the smart, logical people of this world are going to get bred out by the rest of this idiotic country. Obama is just a better mannered, better dressed version of their President Dwayne Alesando Mountain Dew Herbert Comacho.

We should all be preparing now for another 4 years of BHO. Call me pessimistic but I just don't see another scenario working out. We need to keep growing the welfare state to keep the liberal vote machine running strong.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

....Abraham Lincoln
