can you list the USA's amounts of the same weapons, etc?
doesnt matter how much a country has at some point but Im just curious
Actual numbers are obviously classified but suffice it to say, we have more active troops and our training and equipment is vastly superior. However... they're within striking distance of S. Korea and China, have a MASSIVE amount of reserves (every woman, child and elderly person with a chopstick will be a threat) and they're all brainwashed to hell.
Their tech is old and inferior but it doesn't take much work to keep an ancient artillery piece or even a much newer MLRS up and running. They have enough people to have them walking with wheelbarrows of rockets, shells, powder, etc. back and forth from the factory to the line.
The reserves number is bloated as IIRC they consider every person age 15-60 to be part of their "reserves", so the reality is a little different.
My point is that although we are much better prepared for war than they ever will be, the casualties would be astronomical, both military and civilian.
The 240-mm MLRS is among the greatest North Korean threats facing the South Korean capital Seoul. They bundle 12 or 22 of those rounds into a single burst, with each round being capable of destroying an 80 sq. m area. There are 200 of these MLRS vehicles lined up near the demilitarized zone. In times of war, they could fire up to 6,400 shells on Seoul, capable of turning a 6 sq. km area into rubble.
Seoul is 600+ Sq/Km so that's a small chunk taken out of the city, but if they space out the rockets, reinforce the line and maintain constant bombardment, 12 minutes and Seoul is destroyed- 80% of 11 million people gone in almost no time - "I feel a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced."
