Poor people inequality

So....

I was thinking about it and I dont think its fair that someone has as much pull to what goes on with money when they don't contribute to it.

If you pay taxes, your vote gets more pull.

every 3 tax payers have as much voting power as 5 non tax payers.

I don't think anyone should be able to vote unless they make over 70k a year and own property outright

why not reinstate kings and we can go straight back to the government we fought to leave back in the 1776.

You need to re-read the Constitution of the United States. It specifically bans Poll Taxes.

"We The People" isn't "we the people with money".

The people who wrote the constitution didnt deal with the pieces of garbage welching the system today.

Also anyone who disagrees with me.

Forget money, everyone who gets to vote has to pass a standardized IQ test or have a Master's degree from a recognized college or other specific professional designations.

Wait, dick length or boob size. Now I'm on a roll...

Well, the founding Fathers thought that only landowners should vote. How many of you own property free and clear?

IQ test, drug test and high school diploma. home ownership would be a plus too.

this would eliminate stupid people voting for the same politicians that get this country no where.

Drug test? Damn, I haven't had to study for that in years. I'm way out of date.
Forget the HS diploma or GED. We need to get rid of the riff raff. Raise your sights. Isn't that the intent of this thread?
Why would we want to grant Banks the vote? Aside from grandma and grandpa who do you know that owns their house outright?

So, down to IQ test, a real degree and dick or boob size although I also like your idea of eliminating stupid people.

All of those are just too hard to administrate aren't they? I'm still pulling for getting rid of anyone that doesn't agree with me. By my megalomaniac definition that = stupid.

If people pay property taxes, they "own" property/house

how did they do it before the constitution when only property owners and educated people voted?

we don't need stupid people voting because they saw a slogan
Obama "change"
Paul "constitution"

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Sadly there are some nutjob repubs too so we need some balance.

But for the most part we can assume that the people all here make enough money to buy motorcycles and pay for internet. Therefore likely higher up the food chain. I just think if you are sucking off the system you have not earned the right to have the same say as somebody who is working to make the system what it is.

But isn't the system in place to assist those that are "down on their luck"? This would include you or me if we lost our jobs (which happened to me last year).

So according to you we should strip the voting rights from every stay at home mom; from all disabled people that could not work; from all older folks; from anyone who does not own property.

Let me ask you? What/Who is next? Gays, Jews, Blacks, Latinos, anyone who disagree with your opinion......?

They tried that 1933-1945 in Germany, you should look it up.

The sad part is: you could not pass your own criteria for voting.

at the very least, there should be a basic civics test that needs to be passed for your vote to count.
