Possible Major Traffic Disruption around UIC on Wednesday
Got this in an e-mail from UIC today. Thought I'd share it so if any of ya'll drive around UIC you can avoid the possible traffic.
HERE is a link about Obama visiting UIC.
Expect heavy traffic and difficult travel Wednesday afternoon and evening in the vicinity of Halsted and Roosevelt due to a campaign event for President Obama at the UIC Forum.
Long stretches of Halsted, Roosevelt, Union Street and Taylor Street will be affected. Dan Ryan access will be limited, and expressway lane closures are possible. CTA bus delays or detours may also occur.
Please plan your Wednesday commute accordingly.
