It was on last night at 8, as well. Good show, quite interesting. I was surprised they even were able to interview Obama.

Its pretty amazing what our military is able to do. I would like to get a closer look at those stealth UH-60s. I'd been in and around a lot of 60s and worked with some heavily modified stuff but nothing like that.

I'm guessing when the DoD canceled the Comanche they shifted funding and the tested technology from that platform to the stealth 60.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I'm just proud to have the Navy SEALs on our side.

Good show.

Read SEAL Target Geronimo: The Inside Story of the Mission to Kill Osama bin Laden by Chuck Pfarrer. Author is a former SEAL and was able to intervew Team 6 members that were there and give their stories.

The stealth helochopters used weren't even the newest technology. There were actually 4 stealth vehicles at the base, but the older versions were used because air support was canceled and the military didn't want to risk the chance of the newest tech falling into enemy hands.

Interesting. Does it give any more details about the aircraft used or the ones not used?

I don't recall the specific details, but the primary upgrade was the radar signature, or lack there of. Neither version has a very good defence mechanism, other than being stealthy, which is why the air support decision was important.

You should check out the book. It also outlines the origins of the SEAL program, Team 6 specifically, the training they go through, bin Ladin's rise to power, some history about middle east terrorism groups, and almost a step by step overview of the mission from conseption through execution.
