Rand (Not Ron) Paul!

Quote:
After blasting the Senate last week for passing a 600-page bill no one had time to read, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) introduced legislation that would force the Senate to give its members one day to read bills for every 20 pages they contain.

"For goodness sakes, this is a 600-page bill. I got it this morning," Paul said Friday, just before the Senate approved a massive bill extending highway funding, federal flood insurance and low student loans rates.

"Not one member of the Senate will read this bill before we vote on it," he added.

I love how accountable people would be with this.

no more excuses of "I didn't know what was in it"

also would make people who actually cared to do the job to step in.

Ummmmmmm...It wasn't RON Paul that abmonished his fellow legislators (rightfully so)...It was Senator RAND Paul...The son of the Congressman who was running for President. They are VERY DIFFERENT in many, many ways.

Ron Paul contradicts pretty much every political ideal out there. Those same ideals that have run this country into a granite wall at mach 10. I wouldn't call that being a pushover.

That being said, what politician isn't a pushover. Being a pushover is almost a prerequisite.

Pehaps if the legislation was available as an audio book (narrated by Betty White for example), they'd know what they were voting on.

Becky: [to Dante] OK, I'm only telling you this because we're friends, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass-to-mouth.
Randal: [chuckling] Ha! I knew it.

He is a pushover. He doesn't have balls to be a real man.

Yes ron paul contradicts other politicians that have common sense. Ron Paul wants more illegals to come from mexico, to steal our jobs, and for us to feed their 5 kids with our tax money.

Or his idea to eliminate education. He wants people to homeschool their kids. I'm sure the 50% of the population who are already stupid, will do a great job in teaching their kids, when they already fail in raising their kids.

Ron Paul lobbys for the Russian government. Another pawn just like Obama.

20 pages a day!?!? Good God. I can read 20 pages in way less than 1/2 hour.

More featherbedding in Congress at our expense!

Now change it to 400 or 500 pages/day, and I'll support it.
