Twitt Romney Strikes Again

So this idiot goes to the UK (probably our best ally) and in less than a day manages to insult the Brits and re-enforce the ugly American stereotype.

Don't get me wrong...I'm not crazy about Obama but come on, can we even think for a second that Romney is presidential material? He'll probably be worse than WWW Bush!!

while I tend to agree that comments like that are pretty rude.

I do think it is funny that the OP is very likely an anti Romney liberal and has taken the words of his candidate and twisted them around to suit his needs.

I wonder who else has done that recently?

I dislike Romney because he's the epitome of a corporate stamped politician, but I gotta defend him on this.

Now lets not forget when Obama insulted Britain by giving them a DVD boxed set.

Oh yeah, what about when Obama referred to France as your "strongest friend and strongest ally".

Obama did the same to Australia, who IS the most loyal ally of America.

What Romney said was accurate but when you're on foreign soil, the rules of diplomacy apply. He clearly wasn't schooled in these matters.

I do like the fact that Romney is a business man (instead of a shisty lawyer) but I'd prefer a self made man who started and built his own business. My impression is that he's always been in the "privileged" east coast aristocracy and hasn't sweated a real job like the rest of us.

We need a business focused engineer or scientist in the white house for a breath of fresh air. Someone who will use data for decision making.

Twitt's religious beliefs...well don't get me started on those..LOL

Bottom line is that we have slim pickings indeed for the presidency...

Yeah I guess I'm a liberal by American standards however being Canadian & British, I'm considered a raging capitalist.... I do believe in equal educational opportunities and some level of health care for all citizens and also in balanced budgets (spend less than you take in). Favor small business instead of large (those guys can more than take care of themselves).

so every media outlet was running storys that the security for the olympics was a disaster, the brit govt had to privide thousands of soldiers to cover the shortage , romney comments on it as he has experiance in the matter, and a bunch of thin skinned pussys on both sides of the ocean want to whine up a storm over it ? you would think we had no real problems when something like this gets so much attention or that obama never insulted the brits like returning churchhills bust or giving the queen an american formatted DVD of all his wonderful inspiring hope and change speeches as a gift? what a bunch of pantywaist nancyboys

We will never have someone like that in office. It is very expensive to run for office and most truely self made men will not feel that it is a wise choice fto spend their money on a campaign. JMO

Don't worry, he will flip-flop and everything will be OK. He is an expert at that.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

We tried the former with Jimmy Carter (I bet he's glad O'Bama is in office to take the title of the most mediocre accomplish nothing president now!! )

Regarding your Canadian heritage, do you agree then that people should have school choice as they do in Canada? (last I remember, Canadian citiznes had the right to choose where their property taxes were allocated..either to public or parochial schools).

Also do you support "loser pays" in the court system?

If you agree with the above 2 items, then there are 2 strikes against the current prez

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"

London's Olympics got off to an embarrassing start when North Korea's women footballers refused to play after a mix-up over their national flag, in one of a series of blunders.
