I thought Biden looked like an old guy who cant understand how the system works with taking turns. Biden's just pissy because he has been under the carpet for the past four years and got pulled out and dusted off for the debate.

I don't give a rat's ass about the Presidential debates because both the parties are full of shit and are cut from the same cloth.

If your a dem Biden would've come across as a winner and his behavior would rally fellow dems. But to people on the fence his arrogant behavior, laughing and eye rolling would be un-presidential and childish. He got some good shots in and I don't think Ryan did the job many expected him to do. However, Ryan was respectable at least. He was clear and patient. He showed qualities of a leader who is listening and not one who just laughs at you if you don't like his point of view. I think Biden may have rallied his own troops but Ryan stole the swing votes. Just my .02.

the thing that caught me was that ryan listened to the question, and addressed it a bit and then went on agenda propaganda.

whereas biden saw the buzzer and went on agenda and deflected.

Biden thought troops dying for America is joke. Guy couldn't answer questions so he starts talking about other stuff. Especially about the hate ads. Plus, Biden needed time to think while he was stumbling with his words.

You mad bro, because Ron Paul isn't there? So he can be president and give money to Russia, so they can give weapons to dictators?

I couldnt agree with Brian more! The VP debate is well almost what we saw. An introduction and basically a solidifier for your running mate. All i could think about while watching the debate was Holy Shit if something ever happened to Obama this guy would seriously be our president??? Thats REALLY Scary! He was a bafoon! Couldnt sit still, couldnt follow protocol of the debate, was childish in his antics, and basically VERY non professional. He showed a complete lack of discipline and respect to the debate.
Nobody is perfect by no means but on national TV is the image he portrayed really the one you want when trying to grab the "on the fence" voters? I am just curious because even my 1o year old daughter who watched a very few minutes of it asked me "why is he interupting that guy? arent they supposed to be nice and not laugh at each other?" I just smiled and told her that they are discussing what they would like to do if they get elected. Ya wanna know what her next response to that was? (out of the mouths of babes) My teacher would have sent that old man to the principal by now! He's rude!
Well there you have it. My 10 year old daughter has spoken and decided she liked the young guy because he was very nice.

Nice

Tom Giovanetti
President of the Institute for Policy Innovation :

To make an impact on the election Biden had to trounce Ryan. That did not come close to happening.

Remember, the only voters left in play are the undecided and those of weak political loyalty. How would such voters react to tonight's debate? In Ryan they saw someone who is sober and substantive, and in Biden they saw someone who was disrespectful, snide, constantly interrupting, and laughing and smiling at inappropriate times and topics. Indeed, Biden came across as almost bipolar, hardly able to contain himself for the first 60 minutes of the debate, and then very low energy and reserved for the final 30 minutes.

Some talk show hosts mentioned that it was a different debate if you only heard it on the radio and that Biden came across better if you didn't see him laughing and smirking all the time. I disagree. I only heard it on the truck radio and I was dismayed by his constant and annoying interruptions. This is also true for the moderator. Biden's comment at the end of the debate that he didn't get a fair amount of time was enough to raise my bp. On the radio he came across as that old blowhard/drunken uncle most of us have experienced some time in our lives.

BTW, It's tough because I don't drink much but I try hard to be one of those ob/du's as often as possible so I should know.

Biden kind of looked like an asshole and appeared impatient.

Ryan looked like a stepford husband completely programmed and not really saying anything but a bunch of campaign crap.

Bingo.

Both did a decent enough job at gettind done what was asked of them, but for the Independents, I think Biden did a disservice to the administration. Constantly speaking over your counterpart and belittling counterpoints before they're even finished...not the stuff for impressing or swaying.
