Russian Columnist....calls Obama Communist..I guess they would know

Here's the link with short cliff notes....

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/russ...scathing-oped/

The author considers Putin conservative....promoting smaller govt, etc....and likens Obama to following the Communist Manifesto and how stupid Americans are to follow Obama down the same rabbit hole of "Hope" and "Change" that almost destroyed the former USSR the same way.

Many conservatives, including myself, have been saying this since 2007.....what is the big discovery here? The scarier issue is that over half the country is socialist too.

I agree Kegger....no big discovery here...I new this as well.

I just thought it was funny how a Russian Columnist is basically laughing at Americans for believing that Obama and his Marxist ways are helping the country.....instead they are ramrodding it into the ground thinking that crap will work. And how Russia is adopting more conservative views as ways to stimulate their economy.

And that is working out how well for the people of Russia these days?

Putin may be a conservative, but he's on a path to become a dictator as well. And frankly, its easy to run things when there's no opposition.

I'll take Obama, our Congress and the US, thanks.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Tyranny only exists through the willing compliance of an ignorant populous.

Dumb down the electorate enough and they're apt to believe anything you say, specifically that you (the government) only has everyone's best interest in mind, so give them the power they desire.

Certainly, we do not live in Tyranny, but we're certainly inching in that direction...expansion in government has a historical tendency to do just that.

Are unmanned aircraft, known to have difficulty avoiding collisions, safe to use in America's crowded airspace? And would their widespread use for surveillance result in unconstitutional invasions of privacy?

Experts say neither question has been answered satisfactorily. Yet the federal government is rushing to open America's skies to tens of thousands of the drones - pushed to do so by a law championed by manufacturers of the unmanned aircraft.

The drone makers have sought congressional help to speed their entry into a domestic market valued in the billions. The 60-member House of Representatives' "drone caucus" - officially, the House Unmanned Systems Caucus - has helped push that agenda. And over the past four years, caucus members have drawn nearly $8 million in drone-related campaign contributions, an investigation by Hearst Newspapers and the Center for Responsive Politics shows.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been flooded with applications from police departments, universities, private corporations and even the celebrity gossip site TMZ, all seeking to use drones that range from devices the size of a hummingbird to full-size aircraft like those used by the U.S. military to target al Qaeda operatives in Pakistan and elsewhere.

I wonder how tough the flight school is for those poor drones.

hey, look at the bright side, there are 2 states worse off than IL according to yahoo's list of worst run states, and now that quinn has squeezy the python working for him we can rest easy that the problems will be solved in a month or 2, right?

50 California

49 RI

48. Illinois

Thinkstock> Debt per capita: $4,790 (11th highest)
> Budget deficit: 40.2% (2nd largest)
> Unemployment: 9.8% (tied-10th highest)
> Median household income: $53,234 (18th highest)
> Pct. below poverty line: 15.0% (25th highest)

Although many states have budget issues, Illinois’ faces among the biggest problems. In 2010, the state’s budget shortfall was more than 40% of its general fund, the second-highest of any state. Both S&P and Moody’s gave Illinois credit ratings that were the second-worst of all states. In addition, the state only funded 45% of its pension liability in 2010, the lowest percentage of any state. Governor Patrick Quinn has made the now-$85 billion pension gap a top priority for the new legislative session beginning in January.
