ummmm......aren't these entry level jobs? and if you have been working for years at minimum wage, you should ask yourself why you haven't received any type of increase.

Also, who thought it's a good idea to start a family when you think you can barely support yourself?

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"

I worked in a fast food restaurant for minimum wage in high school.

I was not under the illusion they owed me anything or that at that rate of pay I could
Consider that employment for a full time earn a living job.

I simply educated myself and got a different job that met my needs.

I really do not understand these people and/or their mentality.

True.... But McDonalds workers are not your typical college graduate types.

Far from minimum wage earners.

Unless they got a useless degree in "humanities" or something.

I do commend them for working and trying as hard as some do there are many who just give up.
There are alot of Jobs out there but I will agree there is a huge gap. Being educated will incress your odds but the job skill set is what is really needed for most.

I wonder how many of these people that are doing the protesting and "striking" have actually gone out into the job market and tried to find better employment? How many have sought training to land a better paying job with benefits? Like driving a truck or learning to operate material handling equipment or hustled to get an entry level position in the construction trades or applied to an apprentice program to become an electrician or a plumber? I think demanding to be paid like a tradesman for entry level scut work is the EPITOME of laziness...It's like saying that just doing the easiest and most unskilled work entitles you to the same compensation as someone who put years of effort, study and payed dues to learn and gain experience to do a job with responsibility and that makes a BIG contribution to society..................................They have a word for a system like that...it's been tried and everywhere it's been tried it has failed...the word they have is communism.

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

If you want to anger a conservative, tell him a lie. To anger a liberal all one must do is tell the truth!

Interesting responses I dont see the issues with them making more hell fast food chains can afford it. Entery level or a piece of paper saying u learned something doesn'temean shit nor make anyone better. Seems all that paper does is make people more arrogant.

Who cares if they want more money your not involved so it doesnt affect you well may the price of you fatmac

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

if you raise the minimum wage, the average cost of goods and services will also increase. and oh yeah, unemployment goes up too.

The only way to pay for higher living expenses is to force employers to pay more money. This is good business. This will work.

What does any of this have to do with Dave13 carrying a pistol in his Jorts now that he lives in Fla?

Yep...more targeted and orchestrated "class warfare" to promote the Socialist/Communist/Progressive agenda of the SEIU and it's ilk.

Ummm, what am I missing...? If you don't like the pay, don't work a McDonalds. As long as there are people willing to work at that wage, that's what McDonalds will pay. If you need the job and that's all you can get, take it until you can get something better.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Bingo. I worked at hardees until I found something better. Wasnt exactly "easy" work either backline. Between being understaffed, supervisors who yelled all the time and always being in a rush, it sucked ass.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
