call me crazy

call me crazy, but for months I've actually been contemplating selling my RC51 and going back to a cbr 600. The RC was my dream bike since I was 17, but after riding it for a few years, I felt a lot more excited and enthusiastic about riding when I was on my F3.

Of course I wouldn't be going back to an F3, I'd love to find a 05-06 cbr 600rr so its not like its really a down grade, more like going from a kinda rare modern classic to a bike you see on every corner

Not crazy.

The more bikes I ride, the more I like a small, light weight bike that's easy to flick with a soft throttle.

It is far better to be thought of as a smartass than an dumbass. And as American Humorist Robert Benchley (1889-1945) noted, "no matter how well-intended, any reply to a dumbass question will inevitably appear smartassed". - Bob Hall (creator of the Miata)

It might not be the bike. You could have put me on anything when I first started riding and I would have loved it. Have you tried a track day?

Haven't been able to afford a track day, so I just ride it as my daily driver. I'm not a big fan of the lack of feel hydraulic clutch and the 27mpg. IDK well see when I get back to Chicago from NY and I get to spend more time on it.

I like switching up bikes every so often. I usually buy 2 new bikes a year. People say I am crazy and I should get used to 1 bike and stick with it. But the way I see it I get to ride so many different bikes and expierence alot of different aspects of motorcycling from doing this. I say do it.

The RC-51 has major cool factor.

It's also kind of a heavy horse ..... abrupt throttle.

600's ..... a nice light, sweet handling dance partner.

I had an RC ..... I get it.

In this economy, having a bike that's paid for free & clear makes it hot hot hot. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the bike you have ... enjoy it!

Dante: [to Randal] You never go ass-to-mouth!
Randal: [to Dante] Would you grow up!
Becky: [to Dante] OK, I'm only telling you this because we're friends, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass-to-mouth.
Randal: [chuckling] Ha! I knew it.

I'm upset also that I was in NY during winks tech day, I wanted to have my suspension set up for me, not for the guy I bought the bike from 3 years ago...

The RC has major cool factor to the point where I'm always nervous to tinker with it. My F3 was old and easy so I had no problem messing with it, but for some reason I just can't bring myself to do anything with my RC...

When I get back to Chicago in 4 weeks, the car is going away and the bike is coming out full time and after I put lots of miles on it, we'll see how I feel

RC51s are great bikes but the are heavy, and create a crap ton of heat. Also, the v twin motor is an acquired taste for most. I love my multi but still can't get used to the way v twin makes power. It's great for daily riding but coming from inline 4s the smoothness and overall power spoils you. Get an older 600 and be happy.
