...make sure to take the forks apart and check them. Finally got the forks off to change the springs and oil tonight. Popped the caps off and what do ya know, no washers between the spacer and the aluminum cap nor the spacer and spring. Where it was touching the cap it was just starting to score a ring around it. I can only guess what else has (or hasn't) been done.

Letting them drain until tomorow night after I get home.

Never understood how some people can take something so SIMPLE and make a cluster out of it.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

New springs in, new oil, WASHERS where they should be and spacers. Assembled and installed on bike along with front wheel on and fender on in 1 1/4 hr. The SV's front wheel is amazingly simple to get put back on compared to the contortion fest the YZF has me do. Just need to put the calipers back on and the body work back on.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Working on the SV is super easy. I've gotten to the point where wheel removal/install takes less than 20 mins, and I can have the entire front end off in 30.

But yea, before planning on taking any bike to the track, go over everythign at least once (or twice). You never know how much care went into installing the parts before you.
