SV650 Key Cut

I have some blank Suzuki keys - can a typical hardware store cut these, or do I need to go to a Suzuki dealership? If I have to go to a dealership, can someone recommend one in the Western Suburbs that wont try to bend me over?

I had mine cut at a local lock smith/key shop and the only reason I went that route is because Ace did not have the blank. As long as you have the blank, you should be good to go anywhere.

+1. I asked my local hardware shop and they didn't have a blank either.

Another option is ordering an OEM blank online and having someone cut it for you.

I had no luck with ace cutting one either and they did have the blank. This was in Schaumburg.

The Menards two blocks from your house cuts them.

You are asking about keys for the SV. Are you going to ride on of them? Those tires might be a big square from sitting for years.

How would you know how much I ride my SV? You're not even in the same damn state!

Because my beloved Cubs haven't won the World Series, and it hasn't snowed in Florida lately.

When I need bike keys, I order blanks from the dealership, then go to my local locksmith shop and have them cut them. That's worked out well for me.

Hmm. Interesting. There's now a "Report this image" tag on embedded stuff.

Note: this post was 3 months ago, and the first thing I state is that I already have the blanks.

Just sayin.

Yeah, I just went to a locksmith around the corner from my work. They charged a lot, but it looks great.

I did read the part about having the blanks. I did, really.

However, I did miss that Pat revived it after 3 months. My ADD is working fine!

And I still have that motor if you want it. (The second one may or may not have a bent shaft )

Oh wow, I totally forgot about that. And it happens I'm building that project I need motors for this week.

PM me where I can swing by and pick it up, I'll see if I can get out there this weekend.
