I'd love to put a RD engine in an older 250 ninja.

It's almost 40 hp and 4 more pounds than the 250 last gen. It also have a nice display vs the old dated looking gauges. F.I is a big plus. Kawasaki is going to kill the Honda CBR. Before it was like well, the Honda has a good market behind it, but Kawasaki 250 has been around forever... so I would be like do I want a name or something that is proven....

Now if this 300 is priced well, that argument is out the window. The 250 IMO is still a better bike then the CBR 250. I like the parallel twin vs thumper motor. This just puts the nail in the coffin. Very smart move on Kawi's part.

That would be a fun commuter bike for sure. My old 250 was lacking in the HP department but still had enough power to get in you in trouble, it just took a tad longer than my current Ducati.

250R was still a fantastic bike and I have nothing but respect for the little booger. This 300 is just super cool. Id guess this will be priced right below 5k.

It has a 140 rear tire too not to shabby.

I'm willing to bet they will phase out the 250 in the coming years. The 300 will be the new "beginner" bike.
The F.I. alone makes it worthy as a replacement. If they would have put F.I. on the recent gen of the 250, I'd be willing to bet the CBR would have been even less of a concern.
