Next Bike

Hello Again,
I am looking for advice/suggestions for my next bike. I sold my vrod and am steering away from HD all together. I want to step into a rocket 1000 or better. Lets keep the feedback positive and I want to do the most research possible. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you

There's a guy selling a 1000RR on here, all black that looks to be low miles and pretty clean. I had the same bike in an 06 and loved it. Super smooth, handled great and the body lines look amazing.

You should get off the street and on the track and look into SuperMoto - I know this broken down old jamoche who has a BITCHIN RR he will have to sell someday .......

I would think any 1000 , after a V-rod , would be fast enough. Be careful , they bite.

So what's the best way to test these candidates? Rent? Test ride? Would like to be completely satisfied before I lay the money down. Thanks for all the help so far

Neither of us can handle all that a modern 1k bike has, so does it really matter?

My vote: BMW S1000R

what type of riding are you doing?

I prefer a more upright bike for the street.

Dont compare 1000CC of Harley dog ass slowness to 1000CC of sportbike power.

You probably only need a 600.....just sayin.

I 1000 cc sportbike is about 2-3 times the HP of your Harley and much lighter. Be careful.

You're not going to have much chance of try before you buy. I rented a duc 1098 out in cali but around here your options are very limited. Your best shot is if a friend has the bike you want, but honestly I don't think you'd be unsatisfied with any of the 1000's. If I were racing Kawi ZX10R, Posing Duc 1199, Around town and track BMW S1000RR, Crashing Yam R1...

To be fair, they geared the V-Rod so it actually is fast, until it's wound out at 110, right when a 1000cc is shifting into 2nd

so Ive decided on a Busa, it was the most comfortable and I know I can find and maintain one quite easily. Appreciate all the help, now the search begins. Where did all of you find your bikes other than a dealer?
