Your bike is injected , make sure you get a tank off of an injected model .

Wrong! Makes sure it looks pimp then you can just trailer it to a Starbucks. The rest of the Ducatista won't know the difference. Trust me.

You don't have a cluster and the cpu is unknown or missing? How much did you pay for that bike?

I think I'd be checking compression, valves, clutch, etc. before i started even looking for those items. it'd suck to lay out that kind of dosh only to find out that something was wrong mechanically. you may end up spending a ton of money on a thrashed bike which will never be any good. Abused Ducatis are not a good buy. I would seriously recommend consider buying a complete, running bike in good condition, especially if you are unfamiliar with the brand. You most likely will spend more on the bike you have than a nice running example. Moreover, I wouldn't even buy anything electronic for these bikes without a money-back guarantee from the seller that the part is good.

Good luck, man. Ducatis are awesome bikes, but I think you'll be needing plenty of it.

Thanks for the info man, I have been doing some research and I am getting cold feet on this project, although it does seem to have strong compression, i jumped the solenoid and sounded good, but i don't want to mess it up by jumping it. The guy i bought it from said it had around 3000 but that only his word. Luckily I have only 1550 into the bike. I will make sure to check that warranty because those clusters are not cheap. Im really just taking it slow and looking on insurance auctions for an opportunity to find a good price on a monster with parts that I can interchange.

I would PM Farmboy69 with parts you need. He has built a monster from parts laying in the grass in his back yard. Twice.
