Help out a Newbie in Naperville?

Hello all,

Been following the forum for some time, and am finally ready to make the jump. Help with oil changes first time? Also considering the Experienced rider course soon...

Just out of curiousity, why not just retake the course? Guys that have ridden for YEARS return to take the course annually as a refresher. Are you already so good that a 2nd time around would be a total waste on you? Dont take it the wrong way, but if you didnt make to the riding part of the test how do you know you have this ability?

Hey, plus look at it this way- Guys in some other states are happy to pay HUNDREDS to participate in the MSF. Why not take advantage of it for free? The riding season just started, sacrifice another weekend.

I appreciate the suggestion, I've got three kids and it was hard enough leaving for ONE whole weekend. I'm not saying I'm "expert" by any means, and believe me, I wouldn't move forward without confidence in my ability/safety. I simply don't have the time to give up another weekend.

Anyone?

Both U of I and NIU have 1 day Intermediate courses, but usually only on holiday weekends. Next one I think is sometime in May, but you'd have to double check the websites.
