See this thread: WHAT BIKES HAVE YOU OWNED?
(2006 flashback edition!
Too lazy to retype it, so here goes a copy/paste from the above link:
'74 TS250 (brother #3's bike that I rebuilt and thrashed)
'78 CB750F (brother #1's bike that I rode EVERYWHERE)
'82 CB900F (sold to brother #4 and he totalled it on LSD at Hollywood Curve)
'82 CB900F (second one that I also sold to brother #4 - he kept it forever)
1989 SRX250 (bought it for the girlfriend, she was scared of it, sold it a month later for $250 profit)
1985 ZX550gpz - wiped out on and then it got stolen, all within two weeks!
1985 CBR600F (hurricane baby!) - Stolen from my roommate.
1986 ZX600F (owned at the same time as the CBR600F, great fun to switch bikes when out riding with friends.) - Stolen in front of Exit Bar on Wells!
1985 RZ350 (purchased for $500 (!) and rode the bejeezus out of. Wiped out on LSD in rush hour and this thing STILL ran great). Sold it for $750 two years later- rode hard and put away wet!
1977 RD350 - way overmodified, only ran when temps were between 67 and 69 degrees (read: tempermental). Disgusted with it, I chained it to a post at NU and sold it to some chump student there for $50.
1982 KZ750LTD - cafe bars and raised shocks for that 'flattrack look'.
1979 XS650S - cafe bars, black shocks. Another flattrack experiment. Paid $100 for it, sold it for $750 5 months later.
1978 CB550F - Paid $500/Sold $500. Fun bike with LOUD pipes.
1989 NT650 - Honda's Underappreciated Hawk. One of the few gray ones around . . . GREAT BIKE.
1992 Ducati 900SS - Only bike I ever bought new. First 900SS ever to roll into Banzai in Libertyville and I bought it before we even opened the box (we didn't know if it was black or red, half fairing or full....) Great bike, but I rammed this thing into a curb at 3am after a hard night of partying. The following year I destroyed a timing belt and it ate a piston. Wheelies, Stoppies, Canyon Carving, what an awesome bike, I thrashed this thing right out of the box and I still have a soft spot for this bike.
1989 Honda NT650. Back to the Hawk again, this time a common Red one. Rode this for almost 10 years. Corbin Seat and TBR pipes are the shizzle!
Currently bikeless, but am contemplating another flattrack special or other 'standard' naked bike.
Oh, and over the years, I've probably ridden over 1,000 different motorcycles (8 years test riding bikes at Redline cycle and 2 years riding them at Banzai in libertyville)
