Sr 26

Has anyone done the SR 26 run down to Peoria? Debating whether it's worth 100 mile ride out there.

Thanks in advance!

Yes it is.

I've ridden it several times. Not a lot of traffic but keep an eye out for the forest rats. The last time I had 4 deer jump in front of me.

it's not the fall that kills you, it's that sudden stop

If you're starting out from Chicagoland go to Yorkville and take IL 71 to 26. It's not great but it has some spots that add to the ride. Considering Illinois' lack of really great roads IL 26 is an oasis for those who love to ride.
