Silly Season Begins - 2016?

Best MotoGP I've seen in a decade. Stupid cable dropped WSB coverage for half the year - hoping to have it working again to see how Hayden does next season. Followed enough Real Road Racing to know that the Dunlops and Guy Martin have many loose screws. Only saw a few British Superbike races this season - seemed good as usual, but it's hard for me to get into without watching the season.

MotoAmerica format and coverage was interesting - and MUCH better than recent years. Sprint format and class integration takes some getting used to.

What am I missing?

Motocross and upcoming Supercross as well as FIM Supermoto

Fair. Motocross season was good. MXGP is insufferable. Is Supermoto televised anywhere?

Also - the RedBull Hare Scramble series has been great. Endurocross is interesting, but it's difficult to get behind a series that appears to run in hotel banquet halls.

SM is not on TV that I know of - Moto Life and other Streaming sites have a the subscription for and it is actually a hoot to watch

SX is just a great way to spend a Sat night as an old Fuck in the burbs such as myself - Glass of Bourbon, a Worthers Original, my bath robe and a quiet house with all in bed and me on the couch watching SX............little piece of all right in my book

SX has grown on me. I'm still an old school outdoors MX guy. If the guys can stay healthy, the racing should be excellent.

As far as road racing, I am interested in seeing Nicky in WSBK. Having no American riders in MotoGP, that will be of less interest but, I will watch.

What are the plans for Cameron Beaubier? I figured he would go to Moto2.

As am I but that Pata Honda is old and WAY down on power - Vandermark had a few good races as it is defined by the Circuit - Frenchie with the #1 plate was a mid packer all year - Those Kawi's are tough to beat and Duc has found life in the Pang with Chaz - I also think if Leon H can stay healthy, he has the flowing style that suits the Ape and will be up there as well

Did Ten Kate run the Honda team last year? They are this year and they might be able to get more power out of the bike.

They need the newer bike - I think Ron TK and his Bro have always been running the Pata team (if memory serves)

Johnny Rea was on fire this year and now that he won the whole shooting match, Tommy Sykes is going to come out swinging - Kawi is just crushing it

For something completely different (well...not THAT different and I KNOW you all will like it!)...The NBC Sports cable network (same that's been showing the Stanley Cup the past few years) will be airing a taping of the SuperPrestigio flat track on Sunday November 29 Thanksgiving weekend. You'll have to check the listings for the correct time but, they put on a GREAT show!
Also...Have you caught any of the Real Road Racing series from the IoM and Ireland on the CBS Sports cable network? At least one more round to be aired at noon this Sunday. Every one of the IoM stars AND up & comers! Really gives me a true understanding of Irish Whiskey AND why they drink so much of it!

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

haven't watched any motocross yet.

but, speaking of real road racing, i did come across this movie on netflix over the weekend while i was watching the neighbors shovel.

if you haven't seen it yet, you should watch 'Road,' which is a documentary of dunlop legacy... joey and robert, and robert's sons who continue in the circuit today.

very cool

Hey All...The SuperPrestigio will be broadcast on the NBC Sports network cable channel (#174 on Comcast in Chicago) on SUNDAY Nov. 29 @ 8 PM Central time! I had it wrong and said it was on Saturday in my original post...I changed it in that post too!

Also...Thanks for the link to "When Playboys ruled the world" GOOD STUFF!

Anyone get the SuperPrestigio on DVR or DVD and can do a copy? My cable went screwy and messed up my DVR recording of the event and I'm willing to trade a DVD copy of any of my motorcycle movie & racing or drag racing collection for a DVD of the SuperPrestigio of the Americas that was broadcast last night (Nov. 29) on NBC Sports. PM me if you can help...Thanks!

It looks like the rain has been taken out of the forecast so, it should be good for the race. Today has been beautiful.
