AMA District 17 Banquet

Any of the CLSB Hare Scrambles, Gran Prix, Motocrossers or dirt trackers attending the District 17 awards banquet this Saturday in Ottawa?

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

Myself and Ryan will he there to collect the spoils of winning and runner-upping the coveted D17 +30c Championship.

I've never worn a $10,000 nylon jacket, but Saturday I will.

Please come and introduce yourselves to me. It will be great to actually meet you in the real world. I will be easy to find in the crowd. A.J. and the board have sat me at the table on the stage and allowed me to speak at dinner. I'll be wearing an AMA official logo shirt with name tag.
That goes for anyone else from CLSB that may be attending. It would be my great pleasure to meet any and all of you.

$10,000 jacket!...It's a good thing Wardy gets a discount!

You better wear that Resurrection T-shirt over a thermal...it's usually FREEZING in that place!

Well I wished I'd read this thread before. I did get together with Jack and Ryan for a beer. Mainly hung with the enduro crowd. We didn't get our awards until the very end. My jacket was probably $2000 including the 400 mile ride to the Rattlesnake in IA. I'll be running 6 road races and 10 enduros this year including Adams, Hixton in Wi. and most of the Dist. 17. Marion and Ia are out. Too freaking far...

I had the chance to shake hands and say hello to Jack & Ryan. The banquet was fanatastic. We have a very active and well organized district that really works together well. All of the CLSB folks who race District 17 events did the CLSB community proud. Congratulations to all of you who recieved awards!
I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you fastsv650...I plan to get out to as many events as possible during the season so maybe we'll get a chance to meet at an enduro.
Race fast & safe in 2013!
