first Enduro of the year.. Who's in..Tomorrow

The enduro key time is 10 am CST. I'll be starting minute 25 on my old thrashed Honda crf250r. Pretty cool pic. of the bridge they built (midwestenduros.com). My first race as a B rider - they bump you up if you finish top 3 overall. May be a little harder to get to A now (if ever).

Camping and it's going to be a cold night. Look out for a red 14 yr old Subaru with an old sailboat trailer single rail.

The good news is that its pretty sandy (the Sand Goblin) so rain will have little impact. There will be some very muddy areas - but what's an enduro without mud?

BTW they require head/tail light plus a plate (Ont. (Canada) laced to my camel bkpack)...

Very good enduro. Probably some of the best conditions I've seen. Got my ass handed to me particularly last test section. Bad leg cramps, arm pump and head ache. Riding like an old lady just to finish....not another Fkg log.!! Told Jeff Fredette (who ran the endo) and his comment "wouldn't want to have it any other way". Enduros are supposed to be tough...

Got 11th/14 in 250B and 71/86 in B overall. Not displeased given that I didn't finish this race last year as a C rider. Last 2 tests, I got to restart just as my row had left, so maybe 30 sec. late start.
Camping overnight was a mistake- 28F and heavy frost. air mattress was flat...

Enduros are too damn long. 90 minute hare scrambles are about as long as i can go before every muscle in my body starts to shut down.

If you got in better shape, you wouldn't have that problem..

I'm in hockey shape which is pretty good but clearly not enduro shape. By the end of the season I'll be in primo shape...
