So if I throw a headlight/taillight on the KX will they allow me on the course? I noticed they said no mx bikes.

Headlight and Taillight must be mounted! It's your responsibility if they
work. We will get on about 5 miles road, so yes we require lights to be
mounted. We will not let MX bikes out on the course.

They mean mx bikes without a headlight. In the past if you have some type of legal looking headlight, then you're ok. Theres a bunch of threads on here from years past that talk about it.

I cant make it this year.

Yeah I read through all of the old threads and didn't see any mention of taillights being required. Wasn't sure if they were getting stricter or if it's always been like that.

Sucks you can't make it man. Was going to see if I could talk you into doing GNCC Ironman.

And I don't know about you but I'm still on a high from Geneseo. What a blast!

This is a really fun ride. Did it last year with a head ache. Only thing is that if you're an enduro or hare scramble racer, the slow novices will drive you nuts. You basically have to leave your race head @ home and just go have a slow casual fun ride.

I'll be in Germany visiting my dad (no we're not German, but he did his British military service there in the '52, loved the country & the people & remarried a frau 10 yrs ago) otherwise I'd be there.

I would take you but im almost as far south as LR is west of you, just splurge and either rent a truck from enterprise or get the 10$ U-Haul trailer if you have a tow vehicle, its worth it to enjoy the ride and know how you are getting home

I know, I know. I have an F150. But that defeats the purpose of a dual sport then! Not to mention it goes from about $10 dollars in gas to $50+

Hats off to the Forest City Rider's Club. That course was awesome! Totally exceeded my expectations. I guess part of me was expecting it to be mostly fields or quad size trails so I was surprised to see so much singletrack. Will definitely be making these from here on out.

Thanks, looks like another one worth checking out. I did see that a working headlight is mandatory so I'd have to get something figured out for that...hmmm.

I'd like to see the Forest City Riders move this ride back to the Fall permanantly and plan to express my opinion to them. It just seems they've had too many weather issues in the Spring. Even if the weather is cooperative, it's much muddier that time of year. When this was regularly scheduled in the Fall I found it to be a great wind down the riding season.

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

If you want to anger a conservative, tell him a lie. To anger a liberal all one must do is tell the truth!

FCR isn't putting on an enduro anymore. Doolsport in the spring, doolsport in the fall.
