Aldon Baker interview

In another post, there were questions about Baker and RV and now Roczen. The link below answers some of those questions.

Thanks for posting this. I had the honor of being at the race in Vegas as a guest of the promoter. We were in town for the AMA Hall of Fame induction and they made tickets available to AMA dignitary's along with the Hall of famers. The next morning at the AMA Board meeting no one knew what RV's condition was other than he was under observation for a concussion. I'm glad to learn there were no injuries to his extremities that would prevent or delay him for the upcoming SX season.
RV rode flawlessly in the first race and I've got to give it to Bubba... he was the class of the field in the second and third races.
I wish we had a facility for SX in Chicago!.................Indy anyone?

Funny you say that as Ping Tweeted today about possible new MX Tracks in 2014 too and Indiana was mentioned

"Southwick & Elsinore out.... Glen Helen & Indiana in?"

I had been hearing some rumblings last year that the facility that holds the GNCC this weekend in Crawfordsville, IN has been trying to get on the schedule for MX. They definitely have an in with the MX Sports crew doing the GNCC thing.

That is just this side of Indy, so would be interesting if that were the place...

Did you go? That's got to be only about an hour away from your place right?

Do you know if they plan to have any open riding or practice days at the facility?

It's always good to hear about new tracks opening up...In my last post I was referring to a February road trip to the Indy Supercross...last time I made it down to Indy for that was the last year in the RCA Dome...I haven't made one in the Lucas Oil Stadium yet. I' not sure what the date is but, I tentatively plan to go barring any conflicts. It always makes a great mid-winter road trip!

I really wanted to go and race/watch, but we had a busy weekend with birthday/halloween parties and whatnot. yeah, it about an hour from my house. not sure if they will allow practice or not. Seems silly to build a track just for one race a year, but AMA District 15 is basically nonexistant now, so there is not state-wide MX series. I would think they could have a pretty good central indiana MX series with the new track, the track at badlands, and wildcat creek.
