New MX track / Pro National in Indiana

So, there were some things posted on this subject on another thread, but I thought this deserved it's own thread now.

I just saw this posted on Vital MX:

http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-R...ndiana,1261221

For those that don't know, DC is Davey Coombs of MX Sports. What he is showing of the track looks really awesome!

He also mentions that it looks like the National will be Saturday August 16th. Isn't that typically the same weekend as the Indy MotGP?

This could possibly be the ultimate MOTO Trifecta weekend in 2014: MX National Saturday in Crawfordsville (45 min NW of Indy), Indy Mile Flat Track Saturday Night, Moto GP Sunday!

(of course I will probably have to mow the lawn and take the kids to soccer practice, so I will just go ahead and say right now that I'm out... )

I rode part of it on Sunday at the GNCC Ironman. It's still being built but it feels like it will be a FAST track. Lots of good elevation change. Its still real choppy with tons of rocks but it could be nice when its all done.

^^^ Wow.......That's 90 years...I wonder what class structure they'll have and what kind of engines the bikes will be powered by? Think they'll have come up with a protective clothing option that replaces leather by then?

(Sorry...I couldn't resist being a smartass with your mistake!.......................................... .............All in fun!)

It also looks like they are going to run the Amatuer Regional Qualifier for Loretta's for the Mid East region there as well:

I don't know if it is a good thing or bad thing (or maybe nothing at all) that the MX national is a week behind the Moto GP weekend. I know there really isn't that much cross over between the Dirt and Street crowds, but I wonder if this will affect attendance at either event with 2 high profile motorcycle races to choose between on consecutive weekends...

Looks like the Hill at FVOR that I chucked Mopar's old 250 down a few time
