Lincoln Trail Motosports Park 3/21/14

Kind of a late notice but I'm heading down to LTM tomorrow for the day if anyone wants to meet up. Latest word is that the trails and tracks are in good shape. Temps in the high 60s.

Yeah it was a long ass day no doubt. Good tunes and caffeine make it a tolerable drive though.

Work's overrated D.

Was definitely worth the drive to get some much needed two wheel therapy. Temps near 70, I couldn't pass it up. Especially with the winter we've had. Place is definitely worth checking out if you've never been. Something for both trail and track riders. They still had the arrows up from their last hare scramble so I played in the woods the whole afternoon taking laps. Pretty dry conditions with mud puddles few and far between. Lots of rolling hills, good mix of single track and wide open areas to go wfo. They had 3 different tracks to choose from(bomber, classic and practice) but sad to say I didn't try any of them out. I spent 3 hrs playing out in the woods and when I got back to the truck it was getting late. Plus I was exhausted. Next time I go there, I'd camp and stay for the weekend.

As for the bike, I LOVE it. What a blast. PLENTY of power and a surprisingly meaty power band for a 150. Never had any issues climbing some of the longer, steeper hills there. If I ever found it starting to fall off the pipe, all it took was a quick flick of the clutch to bring the revs up and rocket ship engaged. Handling was insane but you have to understand that the newest dirt bike I'd ridden as of last year was my '98 KX250. Soooo light and flickable. Like railing through the woods on a mountain bike that runs on premix. Amazing what properly setup suspension feels like, soaking up all of what the trails could throw at it. Can definitely ride faster and with more confidence because of it.

-Chris

rode the classic track end of last year, fun layout , you'll like it, I rode FVOR on Saturday, just to get out and burn some gas, main track was in fairly good shape, trails and road down to track were muddy/ice and snow still but we got some good laps in, getting the husky sorted out now and running better, just need to get myself sorted out and running better now

Looking forward to riding.
