I will try a GP at some point, just not the same weekend with a HS. I'm just now starting to walk normal after the race this past Sunday. Kicked my ass! Granted the only riding I've done this year was that one trip to Lincoln Trails back in March so I'm sure that's part of it. Just need more seat time to get my body acclimated again.

Btw, I've got a midwest mountain clutch lever on the way too!

Better each day. I'm driving but my neck and side of my head are sore and stiff. When walking I get light headed when I move my head and look right or left. The doc told me that it takes about a week for each hour on the table. I was in the OR for a total of 9 hours of which about 6 hours were the actual surgery. I lost my hearing in my right ear so, the other ear and the brain need time to adjust. I'm shooting for July 1 to begin riding again. Hopefully sooner.

Thanks for asking.

Take care and ride safe,
Brian

Hey Eric, you may have missed my other thread but the race was a no go for me.

https://www.chicagolandsportbikes.com...d.php?t=137801

Anyone else make it out? Conditions looked awesome for both days.

Hoping to have the bike ready to ride by this weekend. I hear wfo will be having their HS in Plainview this Sunday. Would love to make that one but not real thrilled about the drive. Might spend a day at FVOR instead.

The racing on Sunday was great. Very fun day. Conditions could not have been much better.

They had the whole enduroX section in for the morning race. After the first lap they cut about half of it out. The afternoon race included a lot of the creek which looked like a sloppy mess.

Weather was almost perfect. Not a lot of dust either, which was a nice treat for FVOR. I did well in the encurocross section and made a lot of passes so I was bummed that they cut it short after the first lap. I was also disappointed that the bypass route around the big log at the finish was so short. There was hardly any time saved going the harder route. Usually, you can save another 5-10 seconds taking the more difficult line.

All in all, though, it was a great day. Should be a fun season.

Oh and whats up with the online race day timing? I can't seem to pull up any results. It wasn't working Sunday either.

I as able to pass a lot of guys in the enduroX section too...guys were going down all around me. I agree about the finish line logs too. I got over them clean and a guy that was behind me almost got in front of me. I think there should be a bypass but it should result in more of a time penalty.

I did not go, because I'm lazy.

Plainview is one of the best races of the year. I will definitely be down there this weekend.

Another great race is coming up at Oakford. By far the best track of the year. I only made that one once, and I was only able to make two laps in an hour and a half.
