Can we get a group together to ride this weekend? Maybe at KI. I'm going to ride somewhere but, we haven't had a group ride yet this year. Who's in?

Can't do this weekend but I'm down for a group ride before the end of the year.

Also just a heads up, the Leaf River Dual Sport has been rescheduled for Saturday Nov 8th. We should get a big group together for that!

Elroy, the Chicago Dirt Riders group has video posted on Facebook that includes your race. What does it cost to rent KI?

cant be much , maybe a few hundo? they still collect the gate fee and membership from everybody in the group,, if you guys go to KI this wknd I will probably go, rode Joliet last night, good time

I'd like to go there with a big ass slow group so my slow ass is middle pack instead of getting lapped on the first lap. Let me know when that's happening

Is KI (and the riders that usually show up there on a weekend like this) noob friendly? Can you roll everything? Can slow riders stay out of the way safely?

Interested in going - but never considered myself much of a track rider, or a very proficient dirt rider for that matter.

I have only been there once and it has changed some since but what I remember can be handled by everyone. All the jumps can be rolled and if enough people are there, they split it up into two groups. I believe A and B ride together and the second group is C riders.

What day are you guys thinking of going?

Is it a worthwhile trip for a C- rider? Looking to ride on Sunday morning - and my default was going to be Rocky Glen since they are on fall hours (8am gate opening). KI sounds interesting, but intimidating for the uninitiated and slow.

I went two years ago and rode in the C group and had no problems. It really gets down to you not riding over your head. You can ride as slow as you want. Elroy rides there a lot more than me so, maybe he can chime in.

If others are up for it, I can ride Sunday.

I like riding KI a lot, but its far enough that I only get there a few times a year. they have a membership you will have to buy, but at the CDR race last weekend they were only charging $10 where its $30 at the beginning of the season. I kind of fall inbetween the AB and the C group, I can ride with either, there is one jump on the track that most riders don't try and I stay to the right as I roll it, other that that its a big track with natural hill/terrain that makes it fun, only 1 "double" jump and I clear it with ease, it has a second landing further out for the brave,,, it is not a BMX type surface, it can get ruts and often there is a mix of conditions from bone dry to soft/wet as you go around, its a long lap , does not have doubles like Byron, the folks who own it are very nice and their son, Ki is local pro fast, it should be dry this weekend, I would say go try it, you only live once, its fun and if my fat old ass can get around it you should be fine,,,,,,,,, WHAT UP ROMAN? you goin? we havend rid in a long while,, bri are you committed to sunday? I usually go Saturday but if the group goes sunday I will too

As it turns out, I have to be home Saturday by 2 or 3. Considering it is a 2 plus hour drive I would prefer to ride Sunday.

I doubt my local friends will go either day, if your solid for sunday i'll plan for that, although ill probably be at the metro sat night for the big Front 242 reunion show, anybody else in ( for either)? its a good time, I promise

Unless something changes, I'm planning on Sunday. I should get there between 10 and 11.

Elroy, are you planning on still going? Right now it is you and me going. Some guys are going Supermoto riding at RA. I was invited to go and might try it if no one is going to KI.
