AMA National HS moved to Geneseo- 10/12

Just a heads up, the National HS scheduled for this Sunday 10/12 has been moved from Plainview to Geneseo.

Start times- http://www.wfopromotions.com/PdfsWor...ionalFlyer.pdf

I wasn't originally planning on making the trip to Plainview but now that it's moved much closer, I'm giving it serious thought. I raced at Geneseo last fall and had a blast. Seriously fun terrain out there. I heard they will be making the course even longer as well using some additional property.

Anyone interested?

-Chris

^Bring your daughter to the race. She'll love it.

Update from WFO fb page.

Wfo national track update. Spent 5 hours in the woods tonight with 10 guys split up. Got 1/3 of the neighbors section cut. Track received about 1/100ths of an inch of rain today. That's all the rain forecasted for the week. Track is shaping up nicely. More updates to come. Pass it on.

Also if a mod could edit the title and replace D17 with AMA that would be cool.

Wfo

yeah she might. Got 2 AAA hockey games I have to work that day plus a HS later on so not happening. If the race was in Plainview, my plan was to ask one of the local enduro guys to keep my bike down there until the white city Enduro next sunday.

Having said that, the Geneseo enduro was really enjoyable until the last two sections where both my legs cramped up pretty badly. But I finished and not last is Super Senior open (50+).

Latest update.

Track update. 90% finished with the neighbors section. Minnaerts side of the farm is coming along nicely. Dozer is delivered for smoothing out the big spectator ski hill. Gonna be the best Geneseo race yet. Kris Nees and Casey Capps can confirm. We've had 10+ people in the woods helping each day this week. Going well. Ready for a great Sunday for a national race and final WFO event for the year.

Maynard, where you at?

Couldn't make it. How did it go? Geneseo is a good time.

I hate to say it but I'm going to put the bike and truck up for sale starting next week. I just don't ride enough to justify keeping them. I want to pick up another toy that I can use more often.

Anyone want a Dakota and a KTM200??

Say it isn't so. I'm just going to pretend I didn't read that.

As for the race, yeah it was a doozy. The course was much tougher compared to what we rode last year this time. They added a new 3 mile section of super tight bark busting single track that was pretty sweet. Lots of logs throughout too. The creek was a bitch though. Sloppy muddy mess. Nearly got stuck the first lap and then buried her on the second time through. Was there for nearly 45min before I got help and eventually got out. Lots of people in the same situation. To be honest though, I kind of prefer a race like this that's really going to challenge me and that I can hopefully learn from. Plus it's good training for the moose run.
