Rocky Glen

I went out to RG this past Saturday. Ive been going there for years, and have never really enjoyed it there, But beggars cant choosers...
I'll tell you what, this time I DID enjoy myself to the fullest. RG has put some major work into their place. All the tracks were nice and groomed, the dirt was deep and loamy, and all the chunks of asphalt around the pond was dug up and dis guarded. The "island" track was a blast... muddy, but still fun.
The only thing I didn't like, and this holds true to most places around here, is mid day all of the quadtards came out in full force !! So at that point I loaded up, went home and cracked open a cold one... or seven.

Do you still need an Illinois sticker to ride there?

How does it compare to FVOR?

I always liked RG when I rode Dirt - They use to have a CRAZY SX style track right up front by the fence along the road you turn off to get into the place - It was wacky and all I could do was roll it - The Island track was always fun and had just the right amount of sand to make it interesting - I personally liked it better than FVOR for MX stuff - I was never a trails guy so I cannot really comment on that - Even the beginner track up front was fun to dick around on now and then

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"

GotZuk, No Illinois sticker needed, just sign the waiver flip them a 20, and off you go.

Bug, I agree with you on the mx stuff compared to fvor... For woods, fvor is better, and that's not sayin RG is bad by any means. I had a good time on the trails too.
The beginner track up front is all new as well, much bigger. I rode my 450 on it and it was all good. If you wanted to go a little bigger you could, and if not you could still roll everything. But the island track.... Ohhh BOY !!
I remember the SX track as well. I would just look at it and say "Oh Hell No!"
