Just a heads up is all. GPs are a blast if you haven't done one!

Also there's a "knobby" trials class which means you can ride your dirty bike if you don't have a trials bike to ride.

Good to know. I'm looking forward to some dryer race conditions after that HS two weeks ago. Doesn't look like any rain is expected in the forecast between now and then which is great.

Does anyone know how the schedule is going to work since they are running both on the same day? Are they just in different areas? Is the GP going to run then the trials? Just trying to get a feel for how both events will take place at the same place on the same day.

I'll be in the 30+ B/C class. Maybe I'll see you there.

I know the GP practice/riders meeting is at 11am. According to a post on Wardy's FB page, Trials start at 9am and will be finished before the GP so riders that want to do both can.

I'll be running 30 b/c also.

I also heard the trials will be before the GP. I'll get some clarification and post it here later.

What a blast. Man a perfect day for riding. The sections they had setup were really cool. Really liked the log section down by the MX track. Great fun.

I would have loved to watch some of the trials stuff but I barely made it in time for the GP. And I agree, perfect day for some racing. Night and day compared to the conditions at the hare scramble a couple weeks ago.

Got some decent gopro footage I'll post later once I get it edited.

I hope he caught my "Nac Nac"!

There were a surprising number of guys on enduro bikes doing the trials too. I did get up at 5:00 AM though to make it in time for registration. The guys on the enduro bikes were really impressive in the trials sections. It's one thing to do it on a bike that weighs less than 200lbs and has no steering locks. It's a completely different thing to do it on a full size 450 or even 300 2-Stroke.

Yeah, I had heard some guys were doing it on 450's. That's nuts.

Looks good Chris! I havent done a GP at fox valley. It looks like Wardy pretty much runs a shorter version of the hare scramble course, no? Looks like a blast!

Watchu talking bout? You ran a GP at FVOR last summer with me. We spent half the day napping under the ez-up. You ran in the 40+ class.

But to answer your question for anyone else that hasn't done one, yeah it's a much shorter and less technical version of the hare scramble course. In case anyone is worried about the logs, there is an alternate route around them. It's an extremely fun and fast course. Next one at FVOR is 10/17. There are quite a few in the area between now and then. Here's the schedule for anyone interested. http://amadistrict17.com/services/2015schedule.htm
