Growing a Movember Mustache this year to help raise money

This is the stock response below but basically this is a good cause to raise money for prostate and testicular cancer research and prevention and I get to grow what will no doubt be a glorious Mustache in show of support!

Any small or large donation appreciated! Thanks!

Also check out the video of Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson) on how to grow a Mustache, pretty funny.

Hi Everyone,

It's Movember and time to make a difference.

Men’s health is a cause I am passionate about but in order to make a difference I need your help. My commitment is to grow a Mustache for the month of November and by changing my appearance, raise vital awareness and funds for men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

I am asking you to help support my personal journey by making a donation. The size of the donation isn’t important, every little bit helps Movember continue its funding of world-class programs.

To highlight the importance of what I am doing, take a look at these statistics:
• 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime
• This year 242,000 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed
• This year 8,290 men will be diagnosed with testicular cancer

If you’d like to help change these statistics, please donate to me by:
*Donating online at: http://mobro.co/rockyplotts
*Writing a check payable to 'Movember', referencing my Registration ID: 5055017 and mailing it to: Movember, PO Box 2726, Venice CA 90294-2726

For more details, take a look at the Programs We Fund section on the Movember website: http://us.movember.com/about/funding-overview/
Thank you in advance for supporting my efforts to change the face of men's health.

Rocky Plotts

Movember is a registered 501 (c)(3) charity, donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Ok boys, we will need some Mustache photos at the end if the month! Perhaps a poll for best (or worst) stach'.

In the meantime I might make a T-shirt that says "not a hipster" or "stachin' for a good cause" or the like.

Also post up your links! The more the merrier it all goes to the same place! Although since I started the thread just go ahead and donate to me

I always rock a full beard, so I'm giving up the trimmer for the month of November. It's been a week since I've trimmed and I already look like a terrorist.

I rock a short beard at all times and tried growing a playoff beard for the Blackhawks in 2010. After a week, it was driving me nuts so I trimmed it back down

She walked in, went DIRECTLy to the fridge and saw Yogurt and Bottles of water, kicked me in the shins twice, stole $4 in change off my dresser and split

Also, tell her that Harley Bike Cover is not a jacket and I want it back

Fuck, I've had a moustache for 38+ years without a break. There are only a handfull of people that even remember me without one. I'd rather shave my head than my moustache. I was going to wait 2 more years to make it an even 40, but I'll shave it and donate the funds for $100.

If you haven't noticed I'm always doing things out of step.

It's been just over a week for me - Did the trim so it is a tad more "even" - Going for the "Tony Stark meets Jeremy McGrath" too for some chin action

I look like a (15) year old trying to grow facial hair - So much lighter in color then the hair on my noggin
