I was planning on attending. Went 2 years ago, it was a good time.

Dante: [to Randal] You never go ass-to-mouth!
Randal: [to Dante] Would you grow up!
Becky: [to Dante] OK, I'm only telling you this because we're friends, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass-to-mouth.
Randal: [chuckling] Ha! I knew it.

I went last year and it is a blast - About 2500 bikes and the cops block off every turn for you so there is never a stop or break in group - people sit in their front yards and cheer ya on - It is great - Will be in a group of about 8 bikes - Raised over $15K last year and took 3rd place - A few pics from the event and my thread after the ride

I will be going to this. I'm gonna start at the Nielsen's in Lake Villa and take the escorted ride down to ECC. Last year I stood out as being one of the few sportbikers there. Anyone going to Nielsen's?

I'll be with a small group of sportbike guys so you shouldn't stand out too much :P I think I'll be riding a friends SV racebike that is plated w/ taillight, headlight and black track plastics. Didn't realize this event had thousands in the past. Hopefully can meet some people from here and put a face to the avatar :P

Well, Ezra and I were one of the few sportbikes. Yes Ezra, I plan on starting from Nielsens. Going to give them a call to see when they meet up at the dealership. Look for me again with the white Viffer and the wife on back.

No you won't ... I'll be going too, and I always do full gear.

Have to ... because you KNOW there will be 1 soccer mom in her FUV who will drive thru the parade route because her kids, and her conversation on her cell phone with her manicurist, are more important than you are.

You did not hear this from me, but I think this year they will be giving out t-shirts before the ride. And it is so sad. People will be more stupid and decide to ride and show case their new t-shirts.

I ride full gear regardless.

Nice. Sounds like a lot of the suburban PDs have the route under control.

Should be easy to spot me. I'll be on my buddies trackbike SV w/ full Safety First replica suit

I think I'll be at Elgin Community College by about 8am-ish.

Anyone know the route this year?

Ezra---Sorry, but I can't make it this year. Worked a 15 hour day and have been up for 29 hours straight. There is no way I'm getting up at 4:30 am to meet up an hour away at Nielsens. Work comes 1st. Looks to be a pretty nice day. Have a good time. Last year was really nice. Really enjoyed being in the back of the pack with all of the "officers" following behind on their trykes. Mabey next year.

+1

only 1 other person had signed in as CLSB at the time when we went over there after registration.

Im amazed at just how poor some of these guys bike handling skills were... then needed 2+ lane widths just top make easy suburban type corners. I almost got t-boned in the parking lot while parking after the ride too ah well no blood no foul and its all for a good cause
