MotoGP 3 for the PS2

Ok,
I took a rather LONG lunch, and noticed MotoGP3 was out for the PS2. So I ask:

Who has it?
What do you think?
When did it come out?
Is it only for PS2 or is there an XBox version?

Guess it is time to do some digging.

I have it, its worth buying. Its the best motorcycle game I have ever played. Superbike 2001 for the pc was good but it sucks using the keyboard and im too cheap to buy a controller. I have been trying to e-mail ea sports and ask them about a new version and they never respond. But I would definitely recommend buying or at least renting motogp 3. I have only seen it for ps2.

If you don't have MotoGP2, it's worth getting. If you do have it, I suggest renting it first. There are some new aspects to it for sure, but I didn't think it was THAT much better than MotoGP2. Of course, if I ever found it on sale/used for a decent price, I'd snag it.

I think it's much better than GP2. And it has the 4 strokes.... although I sometimes prefer the NSR-500... the RC211V almost has too much torque.... I highside constatly in simulation mode.

I think there are also a few more race tracks.

The XBox MotoGP games are made by Climax/THQ. The PS2 games are made by Namco. They both have very different focuses and feeling. The XBox series is up to MotoGP2, and the PS2 series is up to MotoGP3, since its been around longer.

The XBox MotoGP2 has the 4 stroke bikes and riders, and tracks from last year. Whereas the PS2 MotoGP3 has this year's riders, bikes and tracks.

IMO the XBox series is better. The graphics and animation are near realistic. The PS2 version's graphics and animation just aren't right to me. For instance, the bikes pivot from the center of the bike, not the bottom of the wheels. And there is only 1 get off animation. On MotoGP2 for the XBox, there are animations for high sides, low sides, and everything in between. The bike even gets dirty and scratched up.

MotoGP2 for the XBox is online multiplayer on XBox live, it even uploads your best track times when you're not playing online. The PS2 games aren't online multiplayer.

Lupi - you want a GOOD motorcycle game, stop messing around with this kiddie PS2 and XBOX stuff.

Go get yourself a copy of Microprose's GP500. You can get it here: http://www.gp500store.oteracing.net/

This game is hands down the most realistic motorcycle game I have ever played.

That being said - I also have MotoGP3, and it IS a lot of fun. It feels like a cheap arcade game next to GP500, but it's definitely fun. Easier to just "sit down and play".
