My luck sucks

I was keeping it a surprise to be unveiled tomorrow at strats, but I don't see the point now. I sanded down and painted all of my fairings on the F3, just primered until I decided on a paint color, but it looked so much better then the yellow.

Well, I rode over to a friends house tonight, and low and behold somebody knocked my bike over. Breaking the mirror, cracking my tail fairing, and spilling gas all over my tank and newly painted fairing (as of like 36 hours)

We had an idea of who did it, so I confronted him about it and thankfully he fessed up to doing it. He's gonna cut me a check for whatever I tell him the cost is to replace the parts.

I did file a police report before I knew who did it, so if he wants to play games with me, I should be covered. I don't think he will, though, he lives in the same house as my friend (upper level, it's rented out) so it's not like he can hide. I figure I'll ask maybe like $300 for the damages. In all reality I could find a mirror and tail fairing on ebay for about $50, but I'm really upset he just left my bike laying on its side letting the gas spill all over the stuff I just frigging fixed

Oh, and those guys knocking my "viagra" sliders. Lets just say I'd be A LOT more pissed right now if I didn't have them, because I spent about 5 hours sanding the rash out of my fairing from the first time the bike went down and it wasn't touched

He was backing out and said he didn't see it. Too bad I park it under a big fucking light out of the way just so that kinda stuff doesn't happen

The real problem I have is the fucker knew he hit it and just left. At least fucking pick the bike up, because you know that shits coming back to haunt you when you knock into something 20 feet from your house!!!!

Well, at least he admitted it when you confronted him. Still sucks though! I'm beginning to wonder if there's somekind of voodoo curse on that bike!

You know, I'm starting to believe that. When I finally am proud of the damn thing, somebody knocks it over GRRRRR.

I really don't know what I would have done had he not admitted to doing it. As soon as he got out of his truck he looked back at the bike, so that was all I needed to see if he'd try and call my bluff when I asked him if he saw my bike before he knocked it over.

fucking shit! It looked so good too! Flat black the tank and you might get an honorary second run as bike of the week, especially since there are 1000 man hours into this bike.

At least he fessed up to doing it. But..... why would y ou do the work on searching on EBAY and cutting him slack>>??? Take it to a dealer, get an estimate on the damage, tell him to cut a check.... then you can BARGIN HUNT and pocket the rest of the cash.

Frankly I felt bad for the kid. He seemed like a decent enough guy and it was an honest mistake. I also can't imagine he has a lot of money either considering the truck he hit it with looked like cost about a grand, so I feel guilty of course. Then again he also didn't bother picking the bike up after he knocked it over.

that sucks the black definately looks awesome though, i hated that yellow made me wanna throw up in my mouth. When you get your new fairing maybe you could get the color you want and then match the rest of the bike with it.
