GMC Sonoma

Anybody have any opinions on these trucks. I'm looking at one that I might buy. It's a v6 extended cab 4x4

I'm not short. I'm aerodynamically efficient.

Which V6? For a while they offered a 4.3 which was basically an exact replica of a V8 minus two cylinders, ran strong and had some decent power for towing.

Wow that's impressive and inline car engines put out far more torque than V styled engines.

As long as it has the V6 it will be fine. We use to use them in our fleet when I worked for the cable company. All te managers had them and we beat the living hell out of them. I even had that B&M shift controler on mine so it would bark the tires going into second. LOL they took it well and survived. Being drivin somewhat normal they would be fine. My wife also had one and it was a good truck but it was only 2 wheel so we got rid of it after that big new years strom back in 99

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

I had a 92 4X4 sonoma that I bought brand new. I will NEVER buy a GM truck AGAIN. Motor and tranny was decent, but the little things that constantly go wrong are annoying. Torsion bar Isolators that only last 12,000 street miles (less if you light off road), ingition modules that last for 6 months then quit, tailgat handles that contantly bend funny, window that wont stay on track, paint falling off in rain (they wanted to FIGHT me on that warranty claim. 3 months of phone calls and bitch sessions and I got the truck repainted although a 10 yr old could had done better ).

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Never been in one that the steering column wasn't offset to the left....for some ODD reason. You'd be better off with a Dakota V8 club cab.

Well I just bought one last night. Used 03 v6 8k miles towing package skid plates. Couldn't really pass up the deal. I've had gm cars all my life and haven't had any problems besides normal wear and tear. It'll tow the bike and that's all I really care about.
