Poor judgement on the Father's side but this is a non-issue, I am sure the controllers and pilots were aware of the big picture.

I am sure the FAA is going to come down really hard on this guy, but I am speaking from a pilot's point of view; that this is a non-issue. It's useless talking to the FAA, they never listen to us anyway.

I agree. Non-issue, but still inappropriate in these times. Back in the day I'm sure this wouldn't even raise an eyebrow. Now-a-days, especially with anything law enforcement, or rule enforcement wise, there's seems to be no grey area.
