Tire Recommendations..

It's been a while since I've been on the board. I am looking for advice. I have a 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa that needs new tires. It currently has battlax tires. I am looking too see if there are any tires that are better I can replace them with. I drive strictly street but I might do a track day or two so I am looking for a tire that is good for both but mostly good on the street. I want a tire that will perform well under hard cornering and very high speeds. If there is anyone here that owns a Busa and has tried different brands with any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Heres the specific feedback he was looking for. Not just what tires do you like
This guy appears to ride a busa and has specific feedback about a specific tire

Not, I like PP tires

So I guess there is only one good post in here and even then the guy ride 100% street, but the guy asking is also looking at a street/trackday tire

Note: this is actually intended to help you, not poke at the Busa (really)

Personally, I think the Battlax are an excellent street tire for high HP bikes. I had them on my ZX12r and they beat plenty of Busas.

With regards to hard cornering, Busas don't hard corner, unless you mean that it is hard to corner on a Busa. Not what they were designed for. You try cornering a Busa at the same speed as an SV, it doesn't matter what tire you are on, you are going down.

That said, they are great bikes, and have actually done well on the track. We have a guy RandyO that rides his at Putnam and does pretty well with it. Still can't keep up with my SV, but he rides the heck out of it.

You might consider Pilot road 2's. Not as grippy as the others, but can still hold their own. You'll get better street mileage too.

Correct but you want to make sure the tires have enough grip that 1%

I really liked my DCIII's but I've never had them on a big bike like the Busa.
