Can you believe these scammers!

So we all know the hole overpay/ship the vehicle scam.

Have one of my cars for sale online. Get a call from an "Indian" sounding fella from a number with too many digits to be a US #. Starts with 4676.

Anyway, dude tells me he's in Sweden, but wants to buy the Jeep. I tell him it's for sale in the US. He tells me he knows, he will handle the shipping. I tell him thanks but no thanks. He's all, "but why?"....I tell him because you live in Sweden bro. He's says he'll get it shipped and he will pay cash of course.

Again, I say thanks but not thanks...he starts into how he'll handle everything, and I hung up.

Can't believe this crap has gone from spam emailing to phone calls!

Shoot...now that I think about it, maybe it was CP pranking me!?!

Seriously, really wanted to tell this guy to get bent, but acted nice to him and hung up when he wouldn't give up.

I always get at least one call a month like that, but the latest one now is to use the text transfer service, or whatever it's called, for deaf people I'm guessing? Now it is taking at least 6 or 7 minutes to say fuck off, and you have to tell the transfer operator that. I listed while she types it out too.

Ahahahahaha...

I didn't know they make the calls. That was a first for me.

I tell yeah, when our college hockey team found out about that text/transfer service, all broke loose. I felt so bad for those people that worked there...but I bet they got a few good laughs with us messing with each other/the coaches/other students, etc.

How exactly does this scam work?
Sorry if that's a dumb question. Never worked in sales.

You better be nice to America or we will bring democracy to your country.

If his payment turned into cash money in hand I would do it. As long as it never involves my bank and shit don't ship til I'm happy that's fine.

You know, that's a good question. I was going to ask and have fun with him if he told me he'd drop it in the mail for example...I'd tell him I take it and he'd never see it again...etc. Really wanted to mess with him, but at the same time didn't want to keep him on the line. Though I doubt it could affect my cell bill somehow with him calling me, but you never know with these tricky scamartists...so I just choose to be nice and hang-up rather quick.

I'm just throwing that out there... the EURO USD rate is in favour for Europe... I know a bunch of people who buy cars here and bring them to europe, mostly cars you can't get there...
