proper way to thread a belt

Is there a proper way to thread a belt (I am speaking of the belt that holds up your pants) Should you start to the right, or to the left? Is it dexterity based? For Instance, I am left handed, and always thread my belt starting to my right side so that when i am finished, the extra material that goes past the buckle goes to the right. Also, to note that I am left handed.

Traditionally it's thread towards your left so you end coming from the right in front.

Properly is whatever way holds your pants up so we don't have to witness buttcrack.

If you find yourself being indecisive, then go with suspenders.

No.. you feed the belt COUNTER clockwise...

Feed the end TOWARDS the left to start (Feed is a verb so I am describing the MOTION of moving the belt TOWARDS the left side of your pants when you start inserting into your first belt loop (located at the 11:55 position))... ending FROM the right...where you then buckle it.

I'm also a leftie & I feed the belt counter clockwise as if the 12 is your front button & your right hand is the 3.

No idea if that is "proper". It's just what works fastest. You never know when you'll need to execute the drive by mooning.
