Catholic Church rots from the head down

Happy Friday. A big hoo-roo to God's representative on Earth. Well done son!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_church_abuse

I like the last two paragraphs:

In the United States, Dan Shea, an attorney for several victims, has introduced the Ratzinger letter in court as evidence that the church was trying to obstruct justice. He has argued that the church impeded civil reporting by keeping the cases secret and "reserving" them for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
"This is an international criminal conspiracy to obstruct justice," Shea told The Associated Press

What an f'n joke. Here is how you prosecute these arseholes - sue the entire Roman Catholic Church! Start at the Pope and work down.

I think I'll have another drink.

While we're at it why don't we get rid of all the Protestants, Jews, Muslims, Bhudists, Hindus, Atheists, Rastafarians, Vodou and agnostics too. (hope I didn't miss too many)I'm pretty sure they all have their hypocrites and black sheep. Best to be an equal opportunity hater.

When an institution breaks several of the 10 it's supposed to embody and uphold... there's something seriously wrong. Sorry, but splitting hairs doesn't get a free pass on this topic...

Priests are supposed to be devoted to God... Woops, there went #6 from an ethical point of view.

"Oh, but the 9th said not to covet thy neighbor's wife... it says nothing about their child, Bishop Rizzo..." BZZZZT.."

Let's break #8 and cover it up...

etc.

Can not agree more, Im catholic yes and getting confirmed in the next few weeks as well but someone commits a crime against a child i dont care who they are, in my book you get throwen away and you dont get let out.

carry on,

P.S. i didnt read the article i try to stay out of religous debates like these for my own reasons i just liked what pilotx1 said.

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

Jesus would not like todays Catholic church as it stands today. Money and power can corrupt the most devoted of people. The catholic church has to much of both.

Where in my post did I say crimes against children should be tolerated? Nice try.

They know exactly what they are doing....In the current Irish based scandel, the Catholic org.'s have moved all of the real estate assests into other various LLC's and holding Co.'s to avoid having the ability to be able to compensate the victims via court ruling. The second the vatican was aware there was a problem, they should have started the house cleaning. By sitting on it and hiding it, they are complicit in the crimes against the children. Unacceptable in my book.
